TWHBEA Enjoys Successful Road To The Horse

Lewisburg TN – The Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ and Exhibitors’ Association (TWHBEA) enjoyed a successful promotional outing at this year’s Road To The Horse. One of the foremost equine events in the country, Road To The Horse was held February 25 – 27, 2011 at Miller Coliseum in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. TWHBEA was once again an event sponsor and, as such, enjoyed a premium presence at the venue.

In addition to frequent public address announcements and promotional banners in the competition arena, TWHBEA was afforded a prime location for its promotional booth, which included breed literature, gift shop merchandise and membership opportunities. Over 45 individuals chose to join or renew their memberships with TWHBEA at the event. Victoria Matthews of Cottondale, Alabama, renewed her membership and left Murfreesboro the winner of a brand new Tennessean Saddle compliments of TWHBEA’s membership drive saddle giveaway and National Bridle Shop.

This year’s Road To The Horse competitors were Clinton Anderson, Chris Cox and Pat Parelli. In the end, Cox came with the highest score and became the only three-time Road To The Horse champion. A proud sponsor, TWHBEA congratulates Cox and the other competitors as well.

The Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders' and Exhibitors' Association (TWHBEA), headquartered in Lewisburg, Tennessee, is the oldest and most prestigious organization devoted to the promotion of the breed. Founded in 1935, the breed registry was established to record the pedigrees of the Tennessee Walking Horse. Its goal is to maintain the purity of the breed, to promote greater awareness of the Tennessee Walking Horse and its qualities, to encourage expansion of the breed, and to help assure its general welfare.
