Positives Abound At TWHBEA
Lewisburg, TN - The Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ and Exhibitors’ Association (TWHBEA) has been hard at work over the past several months searching for ways to better serve you, the Tennessee Walking Horse enthusiast. In the registry, new programs and technologies have been implemented including the foal name reservation program, which allows members to reserve names for future foals, and interactive online stallion breeding reports, which allow stallion owners to file their reports completely online. In other areas, the association’s renewed partnership with Best of America by Horseback is bringing the breed a new level of international publicity, and the refreshed Voice Magazine is quickly becoming, once again, a valued source for news, show results, advertising, and information.
At the 2011 Celebration, TWHBEA continued its commitment to breed education with both All Youth Day and the Celebration Clinic. These activities followed up three extremely successful TWHBEA hosted events - the TWHBEA Extreme Cowboy Race, World Versatility Show and TWHBEA National Futurity. Each of these competitions showcased the multi-faceted abilities of the Tennessee Walking Horse. On the promotional front, your association has been involved in breed demonstrations for the American Hereford Association Board and Farm Bureau Presidents. Finally, in recent months, TWHBEA has been proud to represent the Tennessee Walking Horse industry at such esteemed gatherings as the National Pedigreed Livestock Council annual meeting and the American Horse Council meetings. Representatives from TWHBEA have promoted our great breed in Germany, Canada, Poland, and China, thanks to government grants from the United States Livestock Genetics Export Program.
THE association for the Tennessee Walking Horse, TWHBEA is committed to representing and serving you, the Tennessee Walking Horse enthusiast, to the very best of its abilities.
